How to Clean a Kettle with Vinegar

How to descale / remove hard water buildup from an electric or stovetop kettle:

1. Mix a solution of half water and half white vinegar that will half fill the kettle.
2. Boil the solution in the kettle.
3. Let sit 20 minutes.
4. Pour out the solution into a heatproof vessel.
5. Scrub out the inside and spout of the kettle.
